1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using VHG Runners Club ("Service", "Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Service.

2. Description of Service

VHG Runners Club is a community platform designed specifically for running club members to:

• Track and share running activities with fellow club members
• Participate in club-organized events and challenges
• View performance analytics and leaderboards
• Connect with other club members
• Integrate activity data from third-party fitness tracking platforms (Strava, Garmin, Polar, COROS)

3. Registration and Account

3.1 Invite-Only Access

VHG Runners Club is an invite-only platform. You must receive an invitation from a club administrator to create an account. Invitations are sent via email and contain a unique registration link.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.3 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.

4. Third-Party Platform Integration

4.1 Provider Connections

VHG Runners Club integrates with third-party fitness tracking platforms including Strava, Garmin Connect, Polar Flow, and COROS. When you connect these services:

• You authorize us to access your activity data through their official APIs
• You agree to comply with their respective terms of service and privacy policies
• You understand that provider connections are for data synchronization only, NOT for authentication
• You can disconnect any provider at any time from your Profile settings

4.2 Strava Community Application

VHG Runners Club is registered as a Strava Community Application. By connecting Strava:

• Your Strava activity data will be visible to other VHG Runners Club members
• We will never sell, license, or monetize your Strava data
• We will never use your data for AI/ML training or analytics beyond platform functionality
• Your data is cached for maximum 7 days for performance purposes
• Deleted activities are removed from our platform within 48 hours

4.3 Data Attribution

Activity data from third-party providers is clearly attributed with provider logos and links in accordance with their brand guidelines, including Strava and Garmin attribution requirements.

5. Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose as a running club community platform.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Impersonate other users or entities
• Share false or misleading information

6. Content and Data

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of your activity data and content. By using the Service, you grant VHG Runners Club a limited license to:

• Display your activities and data to other club members
• Include your data in club leaderboards and statistics
• Process your data for event participation tracking

6.2 Community Visibility

VHG Runners Club is a community platform. Your activity data, profile information, and performance statistics are visible to other club members. If you prefer complete privacy, this platform may not be suitable for you.

6.3 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting privacy@vhgrunners.club. We will delete your data within 48 hours of your request.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We are not responsible for third-party platform downtime or data issues
• Activity data accuracy depends on third-party provider data quality
• We do not provide medical, fitness, or training advice

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VHG RUNNERS CLUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Third-party conduct or content on the Service
• Any other matter relating to the Service

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VHG Runners Club, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

10. Account Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@vhgrunners.club or requesting account deletion through your Profile settings.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in prohibited activities
• You are no longer a member of VHG Runners Club
• Required by law or to protect other users

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Sending an email notification to your registered email address
• Displaying a notice on the Platform

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

13. Third-Party Terms

Your use of third-party integrations is subject to their respective terms and policies:

• Strava Terms of Service
• Garmin Terms of Use
• Polar Terms of Service
• COROS Terms of Service

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
